The Cherokee Trail Cougars waltzed into their game on Friday with ten straight wins but they left with 11. They really took it to Smoky Hill for the full four quarters, racking up a 86-9 win on the road. Cherokee Trail has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.
Talia Strode had an outrageously good game as she scored 19 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Delainey Miller was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Cherokee Trail's victory bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Smoky Hill, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.
Cherokee Trail will be playing at home against Grandview on Thursday. Cherokee Trail is coming into the matchup with five straight wins at home, so Grandview is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Smoky Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
