Basketball Recap: Patterson Drops Highest Score of Season Against Orestimba

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Patterson). They claimed a resounding 79-45 win over the Orestimba Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Tigers have posted since January 27, 2024.

Leading Patterson to victory were Josiah Mann and Troyce Harrison. Mann went 6 for 11 on his way to 14 points along with eight boards and five steals, while Harrison went 8 of 18 en route to 18 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave Mann a new career-high in points. D?Angelo Quinones also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assists of the season.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Devon Bell, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Bell is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. Rudy Corona was another key player, putting up 13 points and five rebounds.

The win (which was Patterson's third in a row) raised their record to 9-13. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Orestimba, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-16.

Patterson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-52 defeat against Central Catholic on the 29th. As for Orestimba, they will challenge Sonora at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sonora is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.9 points per game this season.
