Northern Virginia Kings suffered a grim 0-30 defeat to Central Maryland Christian Crusaders two weeks ago. Northern Virginia Kings were down by 0-22 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
As for Maryland Freedom, after low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, they brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. Everything went their way against Maryland School for the Deaf last Friday as they made off with a 39-17 win. Maybe the Maryland Freedom offense has finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance is a 180-degree turn from their last 4 games.
Maryland Freedom's victory lifted them to 1-4 while Northern Virginia Kings's loss dropped them down to 1-4. We'll see if Maryland Freedom's success rolls on or if Northern Virginia Kings are able to steal their positive momentum.
