After flying high against Denver Academy last Monday, SkyView Academy came back down to earth. The SkyView Academy Hawks fell just short of the Dawson School Mustangs by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. Tucker Corazzari was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Clay Cosart, who went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
On Dawson School's side, Declan Noonan looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Noonan has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive pitching appearances.
On the hitting side, Milo Richtel was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Micah Thorstad was another key contributor, going 1-for-1 with a stolen base and two RBI.
SkyView Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Dawson School, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
SkyView Academy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Peyton at 9:00 a.m. Peyton will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something SkyView Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dawson School, they will be playing at home against Rangely on Saturday. Dawson School will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
