The Tolleson Wolverines had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They skirted past Shadow Ridge 57-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Tolleson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rico Blassingame, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Jahlil Loyd, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Shadow Ridge lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cameron Lindemann, who scored six points.
Tolleson now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Shadow Ridge, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-10.
Tolleson will take on the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Maricopa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday. As for Shadow Ridge, they will head out on the road to take on the Champions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cesar Chavez is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 15 games.
