Briggsdale relied on the efforts of Sloan Benson, who had 33 digs and one assist, and Sawyer Malcom-Dunfee, who had 15 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Malcom-Dunfee has posted since back in August. Kendra Burns also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.
Meanwhile, Prairie suffered their biggest defeat since November 11, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against Fleming, falling 3-0. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
While Prairie was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Fleming's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-17, 25-23.
Prairie's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-2. As for Briggsdale, their win bumped their record up to 2-9.
