There's no place like home for Castro Valley, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy  18-0 win over the Piedmont Highlanders on Tuesday.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Castro Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Mya Williams, who threw for 184 yards and two touchdowns. Castro Valley also got help from  Kiana Ayllon, who showed off her sure hands for 91  receiving yards.
 Castro Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Ava Kim,  Taryn Pak,  and  Olivia Benson picked up one apiece. Kim also set a new season high mark in  total tackles with six.
 Castro Valley's record is now 8-2. As for Piedmont, they now  have a losing record at 5-6.
 Castro Valley and San Leandro are set to duel  on Thursday. San Leandro's defense has only allowed 14  points per game  this season, so Castro Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Piedmont, they will square off against Encinal at 5:45  p.m.  on Thursday.
