The biggest upset of the week belonged to Trinity Christian, who took down 795th ranked Trinity Christian, 30-22. Max Morrow ran for 170 yards in the win.
Dallas Christian extended the longest winning streak in TAPPS Division II District 2 this week by beating Brook Hill, 38-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Grace Community's dynamic duo of Blake White and Lin Gillham proved tough for Bishop Gorman to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. White threw for 116 yards and one touchdown and Gillham had 96 yards receiving. Statler Lewis helped Grace Community's passing attack out by catching one ball for 20 yards.
Grace Community's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. White has thrown for 1261 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Kade Clayton has 21 catches for 423 yards. Clayton leads the league in rushing with 868 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Parish Episcopal takes on the Guard. At the moment, the Panthers are in second, while Brook Hill is in fifth.
There should be lots of points scored when the Cougars and Prince of Peace face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Grace Community comes in having scored 325 this season, while the Eagles have scored 248. Mike Maddox's team scored 61 points last week as it beat the Crusaders.
Prince of Peace moved up to 754 from 842 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in TAPPS Division II District 2. Larry Thexton's team was able to make move up by topping the Tigers 30-22.
