The Foley Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 11th straight loss. They were beaten by Fairhope 75-40. Foley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-17.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dawson Pierce, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Curtis Sanders, who scored ten points.
Foley bumped their record down to 1-23 with that loss, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Fairhope, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-4.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Daphne the next time they take the court. Fairhope will host Daphne at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Foley will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
