Creighton Prep took down Bryan 62-13 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Millard West and Omaha Central played the most hotly contested game in A District 1 this week, with Millard West eventually emerging with a 32-27 victory.
Omaha Northwest's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. K-Anthony Fletcher threw for 170 yards and Stacy Keely had 85 yards receiving. On the ground Nigel Phillips chipped in 69 yards. Phillips helped Omaha Northwest's passing attack out by catching three balls for 33 yards.
Ryan Thompson made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Huskies lost to Bellevue East. The 6-foot-1 junior recorded one fumble.
Omaha Northwest's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Huskies feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Fletcher has thrown for 1099 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Keely has 23 catches for 519 yards. Phillips leads the league in rushing with 326 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Junior Jays and the Wildcats. Creighton Prep comes into the matchup ranked 14th in the state, while Millard West ranks 22nd.
Tom Jaworski's team led A District 1 in scoring this week after putting up 62 points on the Bears.
