Lower Brule posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sunshine Bible Academy 49-20 on the road. The win was just what Lower Brule needed coming off of a 75-51 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Flandreau Indian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in December of 2023 after their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They were the victim of a tough 64-42 defeat at the hands of Santee.
Lower Brule's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Flandreau Indian, their defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2.
Lower Brule strolled past Flandreau Indian when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 61-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lower Brule since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
