Hudson Higgins had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 230 yards and a pair of scores on only 15 carries. Those 230 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mars Hill Bible was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 341 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 153 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Geraldine was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They strolled past Westbrook Christian with points to spare, taking the game 31-15. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Jon Beck Wade and Brody Blevins. Beck Wade had a great game and rushed for 38 yards and three TDs. Meanwhile, Blevins was balling out in the loss, rushing for 103 yards and one touchdown, while also throwing for 154 yards and one TD.
Mars Hill Bible's record now sits at 12-0. As for Geraldine, their record is now 11-1.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Mars Hill Bible has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 321.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Geraldine struggles in that department as they've been averaging 312.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Mars Hill Bible didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Geraldine in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 27-21 win. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
