Mark Cox Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, St. Johns got the W thanks in part to Mark Cox playing the best football he has all season. Cox rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble and made six total tackles (1.0 for loss).
The victory got St. Johns back to even at 3-3. Cox will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Miami on Friday.

Abram Castaneda Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Miami was led to victory by Abram Castaneda, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Castaneda rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and also threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Unfortunately for Alchesay, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Castaneda. When Castaneda last faced the Falcons back in September of 2023, he threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes, and also rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown.

Another Game with at Least 139 Rushing Yards from Jeremiah Martinez
On Friday, Pima got the W thanks in part to Jeremiah Martinez playing the best football he has all season. Martinez's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 139 rushing yards dating back to last season. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 68 yards.
Pima's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Martinez will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Scottsdale Christian Academy on Friday.

Sam Winters Turns in Season-Best Effort
Sam Winters produced his most outstanding game to date while leading St. Johns to the win on Friday. Winters rushed for 85 yards and three touchdowns.
For the season, Winters has averaged 17.8 receiving yards per game.

A Season-Best Performance from Aiden Bejarano Leads Globe over St. John Paul II Catholic
Aiden Bejarano produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Globe to the win on Friday. Bejarano rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 65 yards.
With the victory, Globe broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5. Bejarano and Globe will face off against ALA - Anthem South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
