Grace Arrington made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grayson Knotts, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Paris Chavis, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Jordan hit Chapel Hill with a five-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers lost 14-4 to the Falcons. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
Iris O'Brien made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and earned two runs and two stolen bases. Abby Klemm was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Riverside-Durham pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Chapel Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
