Rock Creek played in-conference for the first time on Thursday and got just the result they were looking for. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Abilene Cowboys. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Cowboys recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Rock Creek never let Abilene on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-23.

Rock Creek's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Abilene, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Rock Creek will take on rival Chapman on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Abilene is set to face off against their familiar foe Wamego at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
