Even though the Bruton Panthers scored an imposing 57 points on Wednesday, the Lafayette Rams still came out on top. Lafayette sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-57 win over Bruton. That's another feather in the cap for Lafayette, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Jarquez Garrett, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 steals. The game was his 11th in a row with at least ten points. Asa Fehrenbach was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

Lafayette will head out on the road to face off against New Kent at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Kent knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Lafayette likes a good challenge. As for Bruton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Warhill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Warhill will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 227th, while Bruton is ranked 90th).
