The Dalhart Wolves typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the Muleshoe Mules proved too difficult a challenge. Muleshoe walked away with a 53-45 victory over Dalhart. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Daniel Sianez had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 208 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per carry. Sianez was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 61 yards. Josue Sigala also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Muleshoe's victory was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.5 points per game. As for Dalhart, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3.
Muleshoe will head out on the road to face off against Lamesa at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Lamesa will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1068th, while Muleshoe is ranked 404th). As for Dalhart, they will face off against Denver City at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Denver City is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
