California City took their contest at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 72-25 victory over Boron. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win California City has managed all season.
California City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carlito Brown led the charge by scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds. Brown continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Darrius Brown, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
California City's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7. As for Boron, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
