The Northland Lutheran Wildcats were the 65-62 winner over the Great Plains Lutheran Panthers when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Northland Lutheran was beaten by Great Plains Lutheran 72-36 on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Northland Lutheran has scored all season.
Great Plains Lutheran was led to victory by Alex Heil and Austin Rubendall. Heil scored 17 points along with six rebounds, while Rubendall scored 20 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Micah Holien was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Northland Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Great Plains Lutheran, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northland Lutheran will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Rosholt at 7:15 p.m. on December 12th. Rosholt comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Great Plains Lutheran, they will head out on the road to face off against Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
