Brownwood waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Burnet Bulldogs 38-7. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 494th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brownwood's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Burnet, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Coincidentally, Brownwood and Burnet will both be playing Stephenville the next time they take the field. The Lions will host the Yellow Jackets/Honeybees at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Bulldogs will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on November 7.
