Volleyball Recap: South Broward Wins Going Away Against Mcarthur

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Thomas Aquinas, South Broward was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the McArthur Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 win. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-14, 25-20.

William Hill paced South Broward's offense, picking up 15 kills. Hill got some help from Jorge Zamudio and his 34 assists. Zamudio also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Luka Crawford, racking up three apiece.

South Broward is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for McArthur, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Broward will head out to take on Western at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for McArthur, they will head out on the road to challenge Plantation at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs are facing the Colonels at the right time seeing as the Colonels are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
