The Murray Spartans waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Jordan 75-44 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Murray has posted since December 1, 2023.
Quinton Christman was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. That's the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. Deacon Poole was another key contributor, scoring six points along with ten assists and three steals.
Defeat or not, Jordan got some senior leadership from Brandt Steed and Jake Thomsen. Steed scored 13 points along with six rebounds, while Thomsen. scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Murray's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Jordan, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
Coincidentally, Murray and Jordan will both be playing Cottonwood the next time they take the court. Jordan will head out to face Cottonwood at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Murray will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
