Basketball Recap: Rickards Skates Past Chiles with Ease

Rickards put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Chiles Timberwolves, posting a 75-7 win. That 68 point margin sets a new team best for the Raiders this season.

Leading Rickards to victory were Genesis Henry and Jariyah Jordan. Henry went 8 for 13 on her way to 17 points in addition to six boards and five steals, while Jordan dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. Those 18 points gave Jordan a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kindal Harrell, who went 6 of 15 on her way to 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Rickards pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.7 points per game. As for Chiles, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Rickards will venture away from home to take on Florida State University High School at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chiles, they will welcome Brookwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brookwood's defense has only allowed 28.8 points per game this season, so Chiles' offense will have their work cut out for them.
