The Englewood Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They fell 41-28 to First Coast. Englewood has not had much luck with First Coast recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Englewood lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mariah Bellamy, who scored eight points.
First Coast was led to victory by Aray Bell and Sha'niah Bennett. Bell scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Bennett scored nine points along with 17 rebounds and three blocks. Bennett hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Carmen Overstreet, who scored four points along with seven rebounds.
Englewood's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-11. As for First Coast, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Wolfson the next time they take the court. Englewood will host Wolfson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while First Coast will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
