Pine View is 0-9 against Union since March of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Panthers will host the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Pine View has given up an average of 12.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Pine View saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Carpenter, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Genevieve Evans was another, going 2-for-3 with one run.
Meanwhile, Union faced Clearfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Cougars walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Falcons. The Cougars' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Kinsley Tibbetts looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
On the hitting side, Union let Charlee Kesler and Payzlei Parrish run wild. Kesler went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Parrish went 1-for-3 with one home run. That's the most RBI Kesler has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Barney, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Union hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clearfield struck out eight times.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Pine View has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Union struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 1.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Pine View might still be hurting after the 19-1 defeat they got from Union in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
