It was a good run, but the Argyle Scots unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They were outmatched by Warrensburg on the road and fell 71-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Argyle has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Warrensburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Steve Schloss, who shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 32 points and 20 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schloss has scored all season. Evan Lapell was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds.
Argyle's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2. As for Warrensburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Argyle will face off against Hartford Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hartford Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 688th, while Argyle is ranked 256th). As for Warrensburg, they will head out on the road to challenge Corinth at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Corinth is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
