Reicher Catholic is 0-5 against Sacred Heart since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Reicher Catholic Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Sacred Heart Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Reicher Catholic is hoping to put an end to a ten-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Reicher Catholic had to suffer through a rough 54-7 loss at the hands of Bishop Gorman. Reicher Catholic was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-0.
The losing side was boosted by Jace Darling, who picked up 100 receiving yards and a touchdown. Darling's longest reception was for an incredible 70 yards.
Sacred Heart fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They claimed a resounding 41-13 win over Mercy Culture Prep on the road. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Sacred Heart just coasted through the last quarter.
Bishop Gorman's win bumped their season record to 2-6 while Reicher Catholic's loss dropped theirs to 0-8.
Reicher Catholic took a serious blow against Sacred Heart when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 49-7. Can Reicher Catholic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
