Softball Recap: Millbrook Has No Trouble Against South Garner

On Tuesday, the Millbrook Wildcats made easy work of the South Garner Titans and carried off a 12-2 win.

Emerson Myers spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Nicole Drew was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 4-for-4. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kayleigh Prather, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Millbrook always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Garner only posted an OBP of .259.

The victory got Millbrook back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Millbrook will host Wake Prep Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Millbrook is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season. As for South Garner, they will venture away from home to face off against Hillside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
