Cape Fear Christian Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They lost to the Sandhills Classical Christian Lions on the road by a 50-34 margin.

Despite the loss, Cape Fear Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Savannah Autry, who went 6-for-13 on her way to 14 points and eight rebounds. Courtney Butts also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Mia Bailey was the offensive standout of the contest as she posted eight points in addition to nine boards and seven steals. Emma Smith was another key player, putting up eight points.

Cape Fear Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Sandhills Classical Christian, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Cape Fear Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Crossroads Christian at 5:30 p.m. on December 5. As for Sandhills Classical Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Father Capodanno at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
