Worth County/Northeast Nodaway extended the longest winning streak in 275 (8 Man) this week by beating Nodaway-Holt, 74-44. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Tigers.
North Nodaway was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from ninth to seventh in the league. The Mustangs beat West Nodaway 62-6 earlier in the week.
Mound City's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Luke Sanders has thrown for 393 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Dayne Messer has 11 catches for 252 yards. Thomas Shifflett leads the league in rushing with 356 yards.
The marquee game in 275 (8 Man) this week will be the clash between Craig/Fairfax and Stanberry. The Hornets enters the contest ranked 23rd in the state, while the Bulldogs ranks fifth.
Worth County/Northeast Nodaway made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 539 from 625. The improvement came about via a 74-44 victory over the Trojans last week.
