DeGraffenried was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Provo unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Bountiful by a score of 8-7.
Payson's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Provo, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-2.
Everything went Payson's way against Provo in their previous matchup back in May of 2023 as Payson made off with a 13-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Payson since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
