Baseball Recap: CSTHEA Takes a Loss

If CSTHEA was feeling good fresh off their 19-7 takedown of Whitwell last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. CSTHEA fell just short of the Chattanooga Christian Chargers by a score of 4-3 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-7 on March 6th.

Pierse Jackson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 1-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Connor Dodson, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

CSTHEA moved to 3-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Chattanooga Christian, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. CSTHEA will challenge Lookout Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chattanooga Christian, they will square off against Webb at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
