The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. Chrisman will be playing at home against Truman at at 7:00 PM on Friday. Chrisman will be strutting in after a victory while Truman will be stumbling in from a loss.
Chrisman had a rough outing against Fort Osage two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Chrisman skirted past Belton 41-38. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.
Meanwhile, we expected Truman to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked Lee's Summit last Friday, and they did. Truman suffered a grim 18-50 defeat to Lee's Summit. Truman can't seem to catch a break and have now endured nine losses in a row.
Everything went Chrisman's way against Truman the last time the two teams met as they made off with a 52-20 win. Will Chrisman repeat their success, or does Truman have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
