Emmaus and Parkland are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Hornets will head out on the road to square off against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Emmaus will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Thursday, Emmaus beat Whitehall 4-1.

Mari Eiswerth spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Avery DeFanti was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
Parkland never got on the board in their matchup on Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Louis E. Dieruff on Thursday. They never let the Huskies get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
The team relied heavily on Amelia Dawson, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Scerena Reed was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Parkland hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive games.
Emmaus pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Parkland, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
Parkland's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Emmaus has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Parkland, though, as they've been averaging only 4.1 strikeouts. Will Emmaus keep running through batters, or will the Trojans buck the trend?
Everything went Emmaus' way against Parkland in their previous matchup back in April, as Emmaus made off with a 12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
