After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Edison, the Sunnyside Wildcats were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They came out on top against Hanford West by a score of 67-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sunnyside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tanner Wilson, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Barnes, who scored 13 points.
Sunnyside's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Hanford West, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Immanuel the next time they take the court. Sunnyside will head out to face Immanuel at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Hanford West will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
