The Hope Blue Wave's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a tough 27-6 defeat at the hands of Scituate. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hope in their matchups with Scituate: they've now lost three in a row.
Scituate can attribute much of their success to Charles Grover, who rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns.
Scituate's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Cole Birmingham and his two sacks.
Hope's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Scituate, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hope will take on Davies Career & Tech at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Davies Career & Tech will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. As for Scituate, they will be playing at home against Smithfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Rhode Island (Smithfield is ranked 42nd, while Scituate is ranked 43rd).
