Exeter Township and Muhlenberg are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Muhls at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Exeter Township's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Muhlenberg's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Monday, Exeter Township got the win against Reading by a conclusive 12-1. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Gavin Miller tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Carter Redding, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Jake Franek also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Muhlenberg, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Sunday. They had just enough and edged out Conrad Weiser 6-5 on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Muhls in their matchups with the Scouts: they've now won seven in a row.
Muhlenberg also got a great performance from Ethan Weiler as he struck out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk).
On the hitting side, Eli Keller was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Gavin Moody was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Exeter Township has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Muhlenberg, their record is now 9-7.
Everything went Exeter Township's way against Muhlenberg in their previous matchup on April 8th, as Exeter Township made off with a 10-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
