They fell 49-42 to the Patriots. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for St. Augustine in their matchups with John Curtis Christian: they've now lost nine in a row.
John Curtis Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dagan Bruno out in front who threw for 187 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Marlon Prout was in the mix too, providing John Curtis Christian with two touchdowns.
St. Augustine's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for John Curtis Christian, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
St. Augustine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. John Curtis Christian will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Catholic-B.R. at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. Catholic-B.R. knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully John Curtis Christian likes a good challenge.
