The Lucas Cubs waltzed into Friday's match with two straight wins but they left with three. They took down Central Christian 57-39. Given Lucas' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while Central Christian is ranked 159th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lucas can attribute much of their success to Logan Toms , who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bobby Grover, who scored 10 points.
Lucas' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Central Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lucas is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Danville at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. As for Central Christian, they will challenge Loudonville at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
