International High School at Largo had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell victim to a tough 15-3 loss at the hands of the Crossland Cavaliers on Thursday.
For Crossland's part, Nevaeh Stroud made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits (she also only allowed one walk). Stroud was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Crossland let Kendra Gaton and Kayla Ali loose on the outfield.
