 Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Perry Central, their loss dropped their record down to 8-19-2.
 Everything went Meridian's way against Perry Central when the teams last played  back in March as Meridian made off with  an  11-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Meridian since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
