The Rowe-Clark Masai Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Sunday. They breezed by UIC College Prep on the road to the tune of 76-43. The victory was some much needed relief for Rowe-Clark as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Rowe-Clark got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Amontae Fulgham out in front who scored 19 points along with two steals. It was the first time this season that Fulgham scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Artez Jones, who scored 17 points along with four steals.
UIC College Prep's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was James Hodrick, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Jones, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Rowe-Clark's victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for UIC College Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.
Rowe-Clark does not have any more games scheduled as of now. UIC College Prep will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Roosevelt at 4:30 p.m. on February 5th. Roosevelt is coming into the match with ten straight defeats at home, meaning UIC College Prep will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
