The Wadley Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 59-49 to Winterboro. Wadley has struggled against Winterboro recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Wadley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Frisco Robertson, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tedrick Burns, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Wadley dropped their record down to 8-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Winterboro, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wadley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Reeltown at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Hopefully Reeltown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Friday. As for Winterboro, Winterboro and Moody will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Moody has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12.
