Falfurrias put the finishing touches on their 11th blowout victory of the season on Friday. They breezed by Banquete at home to the tune of 73-35. The victory was just what Falfurrias needed coming off of a 93-68 defeat in their prior contest.
Among those leading the charge was Alex Esparza, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Romeo Gutierrez, who scored 18 points.
Even though Santa Gertrudis Academy has not done well against London recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Santa Gertrudis Academy came out on top against London by a score of 61-50.
Falfurrias has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 19 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season. As for Santa Gertrudis Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 14-10.
Things could have been worse for Falfurrias, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-39 loss to Santa Gertrudis Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2023.
