The Winston County Yellowjackets had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Lynn 61-36. The win was just what Winston County needed coming off of a 67-28 loss in their prior matchup.
Winston County found their leader in underclassman Lynleigh Cobb, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds. Cobb is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Emma Kate Veal was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
Winston County's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12. As for Lynn, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Winston County will head out on the road to face off against Lamar County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lamar County is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Lynn, they will be playing at home against Hubbertville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
