The Villa Grove/Heritage Blue Devils had a rough outing against Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond last week, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Villa Grove/Heritage strolled past the Decatur Lutheran Lions with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the contest 46-33. For the Blue Devils, this is just revenge for the 64-62 loss they suffered against Decatur the last time they faced one another Jan. 4 of last year.
The victory bumped Villa Grove/Heritage's record up to 17-10. Decatur's overall record fell to 10-16.
Villa Grove/Heritage will stay at home against Blue Ridge Friday. Unlike Villa Grove/Heritage, Blue Ridge will be stumbling in off of a defeat. The Lions will take on Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] Friday at home. Decatur's scoring has been on the decline the past three games, which is obviously a trend Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] hopes will continue.
