The Eastwood Christian Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 66-51 to Success Unlimited Academy. While losing is never fun, Eastwood Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 421st, while the MUSTANGS are ranked 162nd).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Success Unlimited Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Timmorian Williams, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds. Williams has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Antony Fenn was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds.
Eastwood Christian's defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Success Unlimited Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
Eastwood Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Success Unlimited Academy will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Victory Christian has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while the MUSTANGS will arrive with five straight victories.
