The Cooper Jaguars lost to the Simon Kenton Pioneers back in December of 2022, but the Cooper Jaguars didn't allow the Simon Kenton Pioneers the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Cooper walked away with a 57-48 victory over Simon Kenton. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cooper.
Simon Kenton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jay Bilton, who scored 24 points. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Bode Stone, who scored eight points.
Simon Kenton struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
The win got Cooper back to even at 3-3. As for Simon Kenton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cooper will be home for the holidays to greet Conner at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Conner knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Cooper likes a good challenge. Simon Kenton will be home for the holidays to greet Raceland at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
