Cookeville was led to victory by Mason Taylor and Blake Owen. Taylor gained 55 total yards and two touchdowns, while Owen rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns.
Green Hill has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season. As for Cookeville, the win was the fourth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Green Hill will take on Mount Juliet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mount Juliet will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Cookeville, they will head out on the road to face off against Wilson Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
