Courtlyn Dousay made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Hicks got a massive performance out of Maliah Gordy, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Gordy a new career-high. Kaydence Hickman was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.
